Michael Booth a financial planning student at NNMU from South Africa asks
Would you buy now hedging against the pound recovering after the US elections? - as a South African investor?
Sir Ibo replies
Good day Michael
Good question? Hedging the pound. This market may not recover to its lofty highs after US election. It had a great run on wonderful news as family have the country hope. Before US elections should be considered as market mover one would argue that interests rate hike in the US economy would cause the jolts of volatility that investors are looking for. The pound is stable at these levels and cash dollars stimulus could be what the pounders need to move this investment vehicle up. Michael what is the pound weak against. The pound hedge could be seen in a more complex strategy that may be prove the hedge you seek as much much more risky. Again great question and have a great day.
Sir Ibo
